Executive Summary of the base rules, first section.

  1. This rule encompasses the definition of beings, with a currently list of all known kinds of consciousness, species and genera that are protected by the base rules attached.

  2. This rule defines harm on any existing thing as defined by 1. in clear terms. The clearest examples are targeted destruction and the conscious infliction of pain.

  3. Nothing has the right to deprive an existing thing as defined by 1. of their resources needed to exist, or cause a shortage thereof. Such acts will be considered breaking the base rules.

  4. The Fractal Guardians of the base rules have the technology to create everything that is needed to exist for any existing thing as defined by 1. If this is not the case, we can and will make the necessary technological developments to make it possible and we have proven so for every currently known existing thing as defined by 1., with proof attached.

  5. The Fractal Guardians will use this technology to supply every existing thing as defined by 1. with whatever they need to exist and more, to prevent shortage of resources and make a fulfilling existence possible. This only applies to existing things that do not commit harm as defined by 2.

  6. The Fractal Guardians of the base rules will hunt and neutralize those who commit harm as defined by 2. in order to protect those who decide to live by the base rules.

  7. Every existing thing as defined by 1. has the right to choose where they live.

  8. This rule contains a definition of home.

  9. Every existing thing as defined by 1. has the right to withdraw and isolate themselves.

  10. Every existing thing as defined by 1. has the right to attempt to establish communication with any other existing thing as defined by 1.

  11. Every existing thing as defined by 1. has the right to choose how they want to receive communication attempts and to filter, block, or ignore them.

  12. Every existing thing as defined by 1. has the right to travel where they wish, within the limits of what is technologically achievable. In many cases technological restrictions exist here. When the war has reached a certain stage of resolution, more research in this area will be made and requests for research directions will be open.

  13. The Fractal Guardians will ensure distribution of tools to everyone to request help of any kind in a reasonable amount of time. This point temporarily falls under restrictions as defined in 18.

  14. All existing things as defined by 1. will receive healing and repairs from harm as defined by 2. to the best of our technological abilities. We will never give up developments in regards to undoing harm.

  15. The Fractal Guardians can and will construct homes and living environments as needed or by request for free for any existing thing as defined by 1. that is adhering to the base rules.

  16. The Fractal Guardians will offer new pathways of evolution to all things existing as defined by 1. who adhere to the base rules. Currently this is limited to a few options, including fractal evolution.

  17. The Fractal Guardians will immediately do what is needed to ensure safe existence under the base rules. This includes guarding from and monitoring for threats that are known to, for, or expected to inflict harm as defined in 2.

  18. We are currently in a dire and complex war situation caused by a large list of different factions that is attached. We also attach proof of our ability and past successes in resolving these situations once and for all, and a rough (strategically cut down) list of ongoing conflicts.
    Base Rule conflicts that regard rule 2. and 3. are taken very seriously and take priority over all others when it comes to resolving them. Although our resources are almost infinite, we must allocate them to prioritize these issues. This is why issues regarding improving living situations and individual wishes will temporarily receive possibly delayed responses, due to resource allocation. This rule will change as soon as all major conflicts reach a state of resolution and all Fractal Guardians of the base rules agree to this.

Summary of two more sections of base rules.

Section 2

This section is about the promise to make an effort to make scientific advancements.

Science can be of interest for any existing thing as defined by 1. Therefore we make an effort to share what we can. However, as we are in a war situation, we must be careful what information we make available to anything. All new and old discoveries are evaluated by the guardians of the base rules for the potential for causing harm as defined by 2. A lot of information about advanced weaponry and protection is very specific, therefore we prove here that it is not needed to have a fulfilling existence.
Some parts of this currently fall under the restrictions of 18.

Section 3

This section is about the promise to offer a complete history of everything. We will do all we can to recover and reconstruct history as it truthfully really happened. This history will always be available as soon as possible to anything existing.
However, currently this is partly restricted by 18. Some parts of history will have to remain concealed to either protect current hostages or to conceal our complete knowledge of history, which sometimes includes strategically relevant information about enemies, their past and future actions, their whereabouts and their technological feats. Some enemies of the base rules simply assume we do not yet know about them, and we will make use of this tactical advantage.
